Krishnamoorthi criticizes USPS plan and supports blocked merger

Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 8th district since 2017, shared his views on several topics through social media posts. Born in New Delhi, India, in 1973 and currently residing in Schaumburg, Krishnamoorthi graduated from Princeton University and Harvard University.

On December 10, 2024, Congressman Krishnamoorthi expressed criticism of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy's "Delivering for America" plan. He stated that "USPS employees in Des Plaines and Palatine know that Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s “Delivering for America” plan is laughable." The congressman questioned when DeJoy would reconsider the plan.

Later on the same day, Krishnamoorthi commented on a significant business development concerning grocery competition. He noted that "A Kroger-Albertsons merger would be a disaster for grocery competition," expressing satisfaction with the blocking of the merger.

In observance of Human Rights Day on December 11, 2024, Congressman Krishnamoorthi reaffirmed his commitment to human rights by stating: "Today, on Human Rights Day, we reaffirm our commitment to the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to - regardless of race, religion, gender, language, or any other element of their background and views."
