A. Big Timber Road and Madeline Lane Intersection Improvements Design Engineering Services ($141,785)
Objective: Complete the design engineering services and bid documents for installing traffic signals and roadway improvements at the Big Timber Road and Madeline Lane intersection.
B. Agreement with Pure Storage for Storage Area Network Replacement ($545,412)
Objective: Replace the city’s current end-of-life computer storage area network to ensure secure and sufficient data storage for city data.
C. Agreement with Fifth Asset, Inc. d/b/a as DebtBook ($39,300)
Objective: Acquire software to assist in accounting for leases and subscriptions under Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Statements 87 and 96.
D. Contract with Consolidated Consulting Engineers for Mechanical Engineering Services, RFP 20-049 ($74,000)
Objective: Contract for mechanical engineering services related to various HVAC and electrical system repair projects.
E. Contract with Interstate Roof Systems Consultants, Inc. for Roof Consulting Services, RFP 23-059 ($94,750)
Objective: To provide inspections and condition reports for the city’s 140 roofs.
F. Fire Department Administrative Vehicle Purchase (Not to Exceed $50,000)
Objective: Purchase a Ford Explorer staff vehicle to ensure a reliable emergency response for a chief officer position.
G. Amendment to Chapter 2.57 of the Elgin Municipal Code, Entitled “Auxiliary Police Officer,” and Amendment to Chapter 2.52 of the Elgin Municipal Code, Entitled “Police Department” (No Cost)
Objective: Amend provisions in the Elgin Municipal Code to provide new auxiliary police officer duties and to reflect the police department’s authorized strength.
H. Engineering Services Agreement with WBK Engineering, LLC for Annual Maintenance Management Programming and On Call Services (Not to Exceed $180,000)
Objective: Provide professional engineering services for design, inspection, construction observation and filings for annual roadway maintenance programs.
I. 2023-2024 Bulk Road Salt Procurement – Morton Salt, Inc. and Compass Minerals America, Inc. (Not to Exceed $488,940)
Objective: Obtaining bulk road salt for the city’s 2023-24 snow and ice removal operations.
J. Authorize Approval to Enter into a Procurement Commitment with the State of Illinois Department of Central Management Services for the Purchase of Bulk Road Salt for the 2024/2025 Winter Season (No Cost)
Objective: Authorize the department of public works to commit the city’s purchase of bulk road salt in the State of Illinois 2024-25 bulk road salt bid process.
K. Change Order to Millennium Park Playground Renovation Contract ($120,286) (Item Must Be Removed From The Table)
Objective: Upgrade the play surface in the Millennium Park Playground Renovation from mulch to artificial turf.
