City of Elgin Planning & Zoning Commission met Oct. 30.
Here are the minutes provided by the commission:
The special meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission was called to order at 7:10 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 2nd Floor North Tower, 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, IL, 60120.
Members Present: Nancy Abuali, Karin Jones, Alex Lopez, Jordan Wildermuth.
Members Absent: Steven Migala, Berto Valdez, and Chairman Jay Cox.
Staff Present: Marc Mylott, Community Development Director, Damir Latinovic, Senior Planner, Dave Waden, Senior Planner, Denise Momodu, Associate Planner, Ben Saxton, Planning Technician.
APPOINTMENT OF CHAIR PRO-TEM:
Motion made by Commissioner Jones to appoint Commissioner Abuali as chair pro-tem for the meeting.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Wildermuth.
The motion passed 4-0.
CITIZEN PLANNER TRAINING
Director Mylott introduced Megan Mack and Tom Farace, AICP from the American Planning Association - Illinois Chapter and the DePaul University Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development who provided the training session for the commissioners.
Discussion followed.

Motion to adjourn was made by Commissioner Lopez
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Wildermuth.
The motion passed unanimously.
