1. Consider a Motion Requesting a Closed Session Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (11) and (21) - Approved by Voice Vote 

Village Manager Reid Ottesen requested a Closed Session under 5 ILCS 120-2 (c) (11) (21) to report on Litigation and approve Closed Session Minutes of March 20, 2023.

RESULT: APPROVED BY VOICE VOTE [UNANIMOUS]

Consider a Motion Requesting a Closed Session Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (11) and (21) 

BACKGROUND: 

The Village Manager is requesting a closed session pursuant to the provisions of the Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (11) and (21).

KEY ISSUES:

This evening a closed session is being requested pursuant to:

ILCS 120/2 (c) (11) - Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting.

5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (21) - Discussion of minutes of meeting lawfully closed under this Act, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06.

RECOMMENDATION:

Action is at the discretion of the Council.

A motion to request a Closed Session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (11) and (21).
