Activist and YouTube host Joe Lazar dedicated a recent video to inspecting the sexual education practices at District 211.

Five of the seven sitting board members voted to enact SB818 which mandates an aggressive sexual education platform in the school system.

“The truth is, friends, that comprehensive sex ed militants like Comrade Steven Rosenbloom and Staff Sergeant Kim Cavill probably believe that they're doing your children a service by sexualizing them early on,” Lazar said. “But keep in mind, they also believe that they are the gatekeepers of good and evil. These are the self-appointed gods of their self-constructed universe that your children just happen to be living in. But because we now possess an objective truth which is self-evident, granted to us by the same God who crafted these children, whom it is our duty to protect, it is now our duty to put the gatekeepers where they belong.”

The school board voted to include “gender identity and expression and sexual orientation and identity” in its curriculum.”

“Do these topics sound familiar? They should. As these are already topics included in policies within our district,” D211 Vice President Steven Rosenblum said at a board meeting. “Tonight, we're not voting on whether or not to teach our children how to perform certain sex acts, use sex toys, or getting an abortion pill without a prescription. The fact is that students can learn these from their friends, parents or on the Internet using one's computer, tablet, or smartphone, other than perhaps parents telling their kids about these things, should they learn them from their friends and on the Internet or from within an educational setting with factual information in a safe school environment?”

The school libraries include controversial books Gender Queer, This Book is Gay, and Flamer. In Flamer, one notable scene includes a challenge with a group of boys masturbating and ejaculating into a bottle with the last boy to ejaculate is forced to drink from the bottle.

Lazar’s video also included a clip from the Relatable podcast episode “How Sex Ed Convinces Kids to Have Sex” with former Title X family planning training manager and volunteer educator for Planned Parenthood, Monica Cline.

“So what I tell parents today is, listen, this is just it's not just showing them a condom. It's them actually doing the motions and using it,” Cline said in the episode. “And then from there, it's doing the role-playing. So now they're acting it out. Now they're also speaking it. So this is all just really the grooming process of teaching them how to do this, to make sure that when they're in that situation, that's what they've practiced. Well, that's what they're going to do.”

School board member Kim Cavill hosts her own podcast including aggressive sexual themes for which Lazar deemed her a “die-hard sexual revolutionary.” Cavill has drawn criticism for her podcasts encouraging tweens and teens to watch pornography online and try anal sex. Titles of that podcast’s episodes include “All About Oral Sex”, “Let's Talk About Porn”, “Masturbation”, “All About Butts!”, “All About Anal”, “Revenge Porn”, “Can Boys Wear Dresses?” And “Creating Queer Inclusive Spaces.”

Cavill later deleted those podcasts made for teens and tweens after New Hope Community Church protested. Cavill said New Hope wanted her off the board due to her effectiveness.

“New Hope Community Church and their preferred candidates desperately want me off this board because I'm very effective, because I read my board documents and come to every meeting very prepared, ecause I routinely bring chaotic and unproductive board conversations back to practical matters using good common sense, and because I strongly resist any attempt to further politicize this district,” Cavill said in a meeting, North Cook News earlier reported.

Pr. James Pittman Jr. and the New Hope Community Church School Task Force responded to Cavill’s comments in an open letter.

“[We] want you off the board–and you know why. Specifically, you support radical gender policy, extreme sex ed, and obscene books in our schools. In short, you support using the schools to sexualize minor children,” New Hope Community Church said in an open letter. “A few months ago, with the election in view, you deleted every episode of your Six Minute Sex Ed podcasts for “teens and tweens.” (You even deleted the reference to teens and tweens!) This indicates you are well aware that your views regarding what is appropriate for minor children are not shared by the vast majority of parents or your constituents. Although the podcasts themselves are gone, enough of your thoughts and views remain in the titles and descriptions to illustrate the problem.”

Cavill has been a savvy fundraiser as well. In 2017 Cavill set up the Trans United Fund Illinois that took money from well-known trans activists from outside the district and successfully shape a campaign to defeat three conservatives running for D211 School board, according to Breakthrough Ideas. She launched a second political action committee at the time as well.
