Eagles Starters Lead Offense in 78-66 Loss to IUSB
The Judson University Eagles took on Indiana-South Bend in conference play on Wednesday night as the Eagles fell to Indiana-South Bend 78-66. All of Judson's 66 points came from the starting five, including four players in double figures.
Judson found themselves trailing by 14 points at halftime but widdled the deficit to as little as three points with nine minutes remaining, but a four-minute scoring drought late in the second half allowed the Titans to pull away once again.
Jack Keller led the Eagles in scoring with 21 points scored as he made 8-12 field goals (going 5-7 from downtown) and added three rebounds along with an assist. Leonard Wilson recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. He was 5-7 from the field (4-13 from three-point land) and also had an assist and a block. Isiah Burd finished just short of a double-double with 17 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Anterrious Rhyan scored 11 points in 28 minutes with two assists and two steals. Sam Stewart made a free throw and contributed with four rebounds and an assist. Trey Spires and Seth Gould each had three assists off the bench for Judson.
"Our guys fought the entire game. I loved the heart that they played with tonight," said Head Coach Bruce Fields. "I liked the way we finished plays by getting the rebound; Leo and Isiah had big nights for us on the glass that helped us keep the game within reach."
Judson (5-16, 3-10) travels to Chicago to face St. Xavier at 3:00 p.m.
