Wiggins, Burd Each Score Over 20 Points In 90-87 Loss to East-West

 Javaris Wiggins scored 23 points and Isiah Burd scored 22 as the Eagles fell to East-West 90-87 in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday.  Burd and Wiggins led the offensive attack for the Eagles in a game of runs. Judson outscored East-West 16-7 in the first six minutes. By the end of the half, the Phantoms were enjoying a nine-point cushion. Judson clawed back numerous times in the second half prior to taking an 87-85 lead with 1:11 remaining. A late three-point play by East-West gave the Phantoms the lead for good.  Burd's night was highlighted by making 10-16 field goals; many of which were in the paint. He added five assists and four rebounds. Wiggins was 9-12 from the field and made 5-6 free throws. He nearly recorded a double-double as he had nine rebounds and a steal. Anterrious Rhyan had a solid game prior to fouling out midway through the second half. He scored 15 points and added five rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 18 minutes of play. Jack Keller was 6-12 from the field as he scored 13 points. He also added five rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Sam Stewart had eight points, including making six free throws. He led the team with a pair of blocks and had four rebounds.  "It was a frustrating loss tonight," said Head Coach Bruce Fields. "We didn't do the small things to win the game; including getting out to shooters and simple things as help side defense. We didn't lose the game on the last play, but the plays leading up to that moment by not taking care of the basketball (19 turnovers)." Judson (5-14) hosts St. Francis for a CCAC weekend matchup at 3:00 p.m.
