Shorthanded Eagles Conclude 2022 With Thrilling 72-66 Win Over Beloit

The Judson University Men's Basketball Team earned a solid non-conference win 72-68 over Beloit to end the 2022 portion of its schedule. The Eagles were able to get the win despite missing several key contributors due to day-to-day ailments.

Judson trailed in the early going by seven points, but the Eagles were able to build several small leads towards the end of the first half before finishing the first half tied at 28. The teams played nearly evenly for most of the second half before Judson was able to pull away in the final two minutes.

Isiah Burd led Judson with 20 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Thomas Donati recorded a double-double off the bench with 13 points on 4-6 shooting (5-6 from the line) and added 12 boards, four blocks, and two assists. Jack Keller was 6-12 from the field and 2-4 from downtown to finish with 15 points. He also contributed with three rebounds and an assist. Anterrious Rhyan scored 12 points and added five rebounds and a steal. Tey Spires also added five points, five rebounds, and two assists in the win.

"Today's game may be the most fight I've seen in our team all season!" said Head Coach Bruce Fields. "I was proud of the way our guys handled the pressure and secured the victory with big plays down the stretch."

Judson (5-10) faces Holy Cross on Wednesday in North Central Indiana.
