District 44 State House GOP candidate Patrick Thomas Brouillette has conceded.

Brouillette lost to incumbent State Rep. Fred Crespo (D-Streamwood). Brouillette garnered 37.5% of the vote with 6,437 votes to Crespo’s 62.5% of the vote with 10,735 votes, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

“THANK YOU to all my supporters and volunteers who helped me in this race," Brouillette said on Facebook. “ We went up against the heavily-funded corrupt establishment. We need to fight in EVERY RACE in this state. No race should be left uncontested. The Democrats have been actively destroying this once-great state for their own personal gain. I do find it extremely peculiar that not a single Republican won if their district covered cook county at all. And not just losing, losing by a significant amount of votes. The only exception was uncontested races because those are automatic wins.”

He contested, "The entire technocracy called the races before the polls were even closed. People were still waiting in line to vote and they declared winners. As I write this, many races still aren’t fully counted, but winners already declared." Brouillette declared that "The fight continues!!" and encouraged "more candidates to run for all the mayor positions coming up. Cutoff to register is November 28th.” He also advised qualified people to “Also consider running for school board," noting that "there’s some sick filth these groomers are peddling to our kids and we need to put a stop to it.”

“I guess that’s why they call it crook county," Brouillette said. “We had a ton of very qualified and fantastic candidates, much better suited for the job than the crooks we have in office now.”

In a recent Facebook post, Brouillette shared a screenshot of an Epoch Times article headlined: "Google Is Impacting Elections by Influencing Votes on ‘Massive Scale’: Researcher."

"Google is shown to favor left-leaning politicians in their ads, based on extensive research done this year," Brouillette said. "Facebook is known to actively hide or 'shadow ban' right-leaning pages and advertisers. This is the technocracy I refer to. Mark Zuckerberg openly admitted to the government forcing him to hide content on his platform."

Brouillette is an Illinois native and a small business owner. He is very concerned about crime pouring over from Chicago into his Northwest suburban district and said that politicians need to get tougher on crime and support law and order. He supports phasing out the state income tax and reducing property taxes, abolishing the FOID card, and creating incentives for businesses to stay in Illinois. He also vowed to fight against mandates and support legislation to ensure mandates like the ones that came down during COVID never happen again.

In the first general election without former House Speaker Michael Madigan, Democrats have held their supermajorities in both houses of the General Assembly. Republicans went into the election with high hopes; however only 78 of the 118 House seats were contested, and in the Senate, only 25 of 59 seats were contested. Republicans made modest gains in the State Senate, but it was still a disappointing race for them as the Democrats still have a supermajority in Springfield.
