A. 2022 Special Events Recommendations

Special Events Coordinator Kate O’Leary will be presenting staff recommendations on funding allocations for 2022 special events programming.

Initiatives and Other Items

B. 2022 Special Events Season (Estimated net cost $573,500)

Objective: Continue to offer quality of life amenities to the residents of Elgin through special events.

C. Amendment to Agreement with the Gifford Park Association to use the City Lot for Community Garden (No cost)

Objective: Cultivate partnerships with community partners to support the needs and quality of life of residents.

D. Acceptance of Public Improvements and Easements within the Site Located at 1212 Larkin Avenue ($8,354 estimated five-year maintenance cost)

Objective: Fulfill the City’s obligation to maintain reliable infrastructure for serving businesses and residents.

E. Resolution Committing Local Funds for Proposed Federal Surface Transportation Program Funding ($4,673,250)

Objective: Demonstrate local agency commitment to funding various transportation improvement projects in compliance with the Kane/Kendall Council of Mayors’ Surface Transportation Program funding competitive application criteria.

F. Naviline Migration to Central Square Cloud Hosted Environment ($160,992 annually, $10,000 one-time fee)

Objective: Migrate Naviline enterprise resource planning system from functionally obsolete premise-based server equipment to hosted cloud-based system to improve system operation and support.

G. Contract with Consolidated Consulting Engineers for Mechanical Engineering Services ($98,500) Objective: Enter into a contract for mechanical engineering services related to various HVAC and electrical system repair projects.
