The Judson University Men's Tennis opened their spring season with two wins over NCAA opponents. The Eagles travelled up to Wisconsin Lutheran and Milwaukee School of Engineering to face off against both teams in a 2-match day. The Eagles swept the doubles points, which put them up 3-0. As they started the singles matches, the Eagles began to slowly sweep all the singles spots, which gave them a 9-0 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran. The closest match came at the No.1 singles spot, where Antoine Ageon took the first set but dropped the second set. He soon found himself in a third set super tiebreaker where he commanded control over his opponent and took the last point for the win for the Eagles.
Racine, WI....The Eagles had little time to celebrate their victory as they headed back south to face off against Milwaukee School of Engineering. The Eagles had relatively easy wins at the No.1 & No.3 doubles spots, but did drop a point at the No.2 doubles, so the Eagles entered the singles matches up 2-1. The singles matches were competitive, but the Eagles appeared to control most courts and secured wins at all spots, except the No.2 singles spot. This was a very close match that was lost in a super tiebreaker, but the Eagles still won the match 7-2 over MSOE.
The Eagles travel this weekend to Orlando, Florida to play 6 matches over their spring break trip. Stay tuned for match updates while in Florida.
