Report: East Maine School District spent $14,733 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at East Maine School District 63 was up 18.4 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $12,443 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,733 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 3,565 to 3,482 students over the same period.

East Maine's spending in 2019-20 was 1.7 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
