Analysis: Wilmette pays $4.66 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wilmette Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.3 percent of the $2,583,478 the Wilmette Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.66 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wilmette contributed $2,127,000 to the fund, which saw a $114,414 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $456,418, or 17.7 percent, in 2018. Another $60 came from other unspecified sources.
