Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 60016?

There were six offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live near Illinois zip code 60016, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by North Cook News.

The data shows that the six released offenders living in Des Plaines zip code were men. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age was 37. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man convicted of a sex crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 53-year-old man convicted of a financial crime or fraud in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Juan Terrazas. He was convicted of a property crime in 2014, when he was 25 years old. He is now 32.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
