Illinois State House District 54 issued the following announcement on Nov. 26
Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak will be holding a property assessment appeal seminar for Palatine residents seeking to appeal their 2019 property tax assessments. Palatine Township will open for appeal December 2 through December 31, 2019.
The seminars are co-sponsored by Palatine Township Assessor Terry Kelly, Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz, Cook County Commissioner Scott Britton and State Representative Tom Morrison.The hour long session will educate taxpayers on how to file a successful tax appeal.
The seminar includes a presentation by Commissioner Dan Patlak explaining the appeal procedure at the Board of Review. Before the end of the evening, taxpayers will have an opportunity to work with staff from the Board of Review to address their specific questions and concerns.
This event is free to the public, and there is no fee to appeal at the Board of Review. No registration required.
