Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 6.
Melissa Davidson, CPA, and Kelly J. Pargman, CPA, have announced the founding of their new accounting firm, Davidson Pargman & Company, LLC.
“Our focus is on timely, quality service and taking a personal interest in truly understanding our clients’ operations to address their business challenges and opportunities,” said Davidson.
Pargman takes pride that the firm has been founded with a total commitment to building one-on-one relationships with each individual client. “Our goal is to provide businesses with a value and objective resource for a variety of financial, tax, and advisory needs,” she said.
Prior to founding Davidson Pargman & Company, LLC, both worked in public accounting at Borhart Spellmeyer & Company and Porte Brown. Davidson has fourteen years of experience managing accounting service, audit, review and tax clients. Pargman has managed audit, review, and tax clients for the past twenty-four years. They each have an extensive audit, general business consulting and tax background and take pride in providing the highest level of service.
Davidson and Pargman have worked closely with companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, real estate development, professional services, and employee-benefit plans throughout the Chicago suburban area and northwestern Illinois.
Davidson earned her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at Northern Illinois University in 2005 and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in 2010. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Illinois CPA Society.
Davidson resides in Kingston, Illinois with her husband James and three sons. She is an active volunteer with several organizations, including WIM Fox Valley, as board operations co-chair); G-K AYSO Soccer (board treasurer and coach); Women Construction Owners & Executives; Dundee-Crown High School - INCubator program, and G-K Trailblazers Snowmobile Club.
Pargman earned her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics at the University of Illinois in 1995 and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in 1997. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Illinois CPA Society.
Pargman resides in Poplar Grove, Illinois with her husband Brian and two children. She is actively involved in her children’s sporting activities and is the former treasurer of North Boone Youth Cheer and Poplar Grove Power Baseball.
