City of Prospect Heights issued the following announcement on June 19.
Please join the City of Prospect Heights, the Village of Wheeling, and Chicago Executive Airport for the community fireworks event, Rock ‘n’ Run the Runway, held at Chicago Executive Airport on June 29, 2019. The day will start at 8 a.m. with a 5K run on the runways of Chicago Executive Airport and resume at 5 p.m. with food trucks, live music, balloon twisters, face painting, a kiddie train, and fireworks. We hope to see you there!
5K Run the Runway
8:00am Race Begins
Entertainment:
5:00pm Gates open
6:00 - 7:30pm Gone Country
8:15- 10:30pm Haley Reinhart featuring the Midnight Band
9:15 - 9:30pm Music will break for Fireworks
Food Vendors:
Enjoy gourmet food trucks and a selection of beer and wine
