Report: Glencoe spent $19,578 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Glencoe School District 35 is up 13.2 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $17,301 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $19,578 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1243 to 1204.

Glencoe's spending in 2017-18 was 46.8 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
