Report: Northfield spent $23,141 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Northfield Township High School District 225 is up 7.2 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $21,577 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $23,141 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 4843 to 5172.

Northfield's spending in 2017-18 was 73.5 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
