Evanston Township High School District 202 issued the following announcement on Jan. 17.
The Upstart Crows, Evanston Township High School’s Shakespeare Club, offers two performances of its annual production. “Showcase of Scenes from Shakespeare” will be presented in the ETHS Little Theatre on Thursday, January 24 at 4:00pm and Saturday, January 26 at 6:00pm. The Thursday performance is free to the public. Tickets for the Saturday performance are available at the door at $5 for adults and $3 for students.
This year's showcase will feature scenes from Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream"; "The Tempest" and "Twelfth Night". Directed by club sponsor Anne Lefkovitz, the Upstart Crows is comprised of twelve ETHS students from all grade levels who share a love of Shakespeare by bringing his plays to life on the stage.
The ETHS Little Theatre, 1600 Dodge Ave., is wheelchair accessible. Parking is available in the lot across from the main entrance, off of Dodge Avenue, or in the lots behind the high school.
