City of Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on Jan. 10.
Dennis Stroughmatt is an expert fiddler with extensive knowledge of French-American folkways. His solo acoustic performance encompasses the full-range of North American French music and culture. Dennis is a master musician and will be performing authentic Cajun Music. He is considered "A National Treasure" by the Missouri Humanities Council. For more information call (618) 246-0033.
