Special Presentations and Reports

All items listed in section “Special Presentations and Reports” are for informational purposes only. As such, the city council is not expected to take action at this time on any item listed below.

A. 2019 Budget and Three-Year Financial Plan Initiatives and Other Items

B. Consideration of Engineering Service Agreements for the Review of Engineering Submittals (No cost to the City)

Objective: Utilize engineering consultants to assist in the review of civil engineering site and subdivision plans for conformance with the City of Elgin Municipal Code, the City of Elgin Engineering Standards and the adopted Kane County Storm Water Ordinance with amendments.

C. Consideration of Fire Protection Agreements with Illinois Tool Works, DSM Desotech and St. Charles Properties ($67,598 Revenue)

Objective: Provide an economically beneficial way for fire department resources to be utilized by properties located outside of City borders.

D. Consideration of Contract with Advocate Sherman Hospital for Medical Examinations and Other Related Medical Services ($36,170)

Objective: Ensure the health and safety of fire department employees through medical examinations and other medical services.

E. Consideration of Renewal Agreement with Box Inc. for Cloud-Based Data Storage and Document Management Platform ($210,340)

Objective: Maintain a cloud-based data storage and document management solution that integrates with existing City cloud services and desktop applications.

F. Consideration of Proposed Ordinance Providing for the Continuation of Regulations for the Abatement of Nuisance Activities in the Center City Business District, Public Parks and Other Recreational Areas and Facilities within the City (No cost to the City)

Objective: Provide for the continuation of the previously adopted regulations designed to reduce the occurrence of unlawful chronic nuisance activities in the Center City Business District and other public areas.
