Northbrook Park District issued the following announcement on Nov. 13.
Being out of school leaves plenty of time for fun at the Northbrook Park District.
Activities include:
• Winter Break Escapes, 9am-3pm, Dec. 26-28, and Jan. 2-4 the Leisure Center, 3323 Walters Ave. Field trips include Top Golf in Wood Dale, Family Fun Center in Waukegan, Earth & Space Center in River Grove, SciTech Hands on Museum in Aurora, Brunswick Zone in Mount Prospect and Enchanted Castle in Lombard. (ages 5-12)
• Winter Break Multi-Sports Camp, 9am-3pm, Dec. 26-28, and Jan. 2-4 Greenbriar Gym at Greenbriar School, 1225 Greenbriar Lane. (ages 5-12)
• Winter Break Skate and Dance Camp, Northbrook Sports Center, 10am-3pm, Dec. 26-28 and Jan. 2- 4, Northbrook Sports Center, 1730 Pfingsten Road, (ages 5-17)
• School’s Out Hockey Training Academy, 9am to noon, Dec. 26-28 and Jan. 2-4 , Northbrook Sports Center, 1730 Pfingsten Road (ages 5-9 and 9-13)
The District also offers a variety of other opportunities to stay active, have fun and cure cabin fever at its facilities during winter break. Activities include Public Skating and Sticks and Pucks (drop-in hockey) at Northbrook Sports Center, 1730 Pfingsten Road. Youth Open Gym takes place Dec. 26-30 and Jan. 2-4 at Greenbriar Gym, 1225 Greenbriar Lane.
