CITY OF DES PLAINES POLICE DEPARTMENT: National Prescription Drug Take Back Day October 27

City of Des Plaines Police Department recently issued the following announcement.

Save-the-Date for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 27th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. 

The Des Plaines Police Department encourages the public to drop-off old, or unwanted prescription drugs at its 24/7 collection site located in the Department's lobby at 1418 Miner Street. 

During last April’s National Take Back Day, collection boxes were put to good use. 

In one day alone, over 474 TONS of unused and expired medicines were dropped off for safe and proper disposal in the US.
