Report: Glencoe spent $17,849 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Glencoe School District 35 is up 9 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $16,361 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $17,849 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1282 to 1182.

Glencoe's spending in 2016-17 was 38 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
