Report: Skokie spent $12,989 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Skokie School District 69 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,355 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,989 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1707 to 1705.

Skokie's spending in 2016-17 was 0 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
