Report: Arlington Heights spent $13,399 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Arlington Heights School District 25 is up 12 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,999 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,399 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 5252 to 5595.

Arlington Heights's spending in 2016-17 was 3 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
