Analysis: Wilmette pays $4.21 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wilmette Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.8 percent of the $2,340,131 the Wilmette Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.21 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wilmette contributed $1,891,000 to the fund, which saw a $137,102 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $449,131, or 19.2 percent, in 2016.
