Analysis: Prospect Heights pays $2.24 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Prospect Heights Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 68.7 percent of the $468,869 the Prospect Heights Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.24 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Prospect Heights contributed $322,103 to the fund, which saw a $13,058 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $143,211, or 30.5 percent, in 2016. Another $3,555 came from other unspecified sources.
