Analysis: Palatine pays $3.35 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Palatine Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 77 percent of the $4,595,096 the Palatine Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.35 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Palatine contributed $3,538,272 to the fund, which saw a $189,439 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $1,055,702, or 23 percent, in 2016. Another $1,122 came from other unspecified sources.
