Village of Streamwood President and Board of Trustees met October 5.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Call to Order:

President Roth called the Workshop to order at 8:23 p.m. (following the Board meeting).

Roll Call:

Trustee William Harper Present Trustee Mary Thon Present

Trustee Larry Schmidt Present Trustee William Carlson Present

Trustee Michael Baumer Present Trustee James Cecille Present

President Billie D. Roth Present

All those answering “present” were physically present at the meeting.

Also present: Village Manager Sharon Caddigan; Community Development Director John Peterson; Finance Director Josh Peacock; Fire Chief Chris Clark; IT Director Victor Ambroziak; Police Chief Ed Valente; Public Works Director Matt Mann.

Pledge of Allegiance:

The Village Board is meeting for a workshop with staff to discuss the 2018 Proposed Budget.

Finance Director Josh Peacock reviewed the Village’s current financial status, with an overview of the 13 separate funds of three specific types – Governmental, Business and Fiduciary/Pensions. He reviewed the fund balances in all funds, Board policies regarding reserves, and reviewed the projected revenues and expenditures for the coming year.

Mr. Peacock advised the Board they will be seeing the required estimate of the 2017 property tax levy (paid in 2018) which needs to be prepared at least twenty days prior to the presentation of the 2017 tax levy, anticipated at the November 16th Board meeting.

The Board and staff generally discussed the future debt possibilities and potential projects relative to the recent space need assessment and the update of the comprehensive plan.

Adjourn:

Trustee Baumer moved to adjourn. Trustee Cecille seconded the motion. A voice vote approved the adjournment. The Village Board adjourned the workshop at 9:37 p.m.
