Unpaid fines for Schaumburg-based campaign committee totaled $3,005 in January 2017

One campaign committee in Schaumburg has overdue fines amounting to a total of $3,005, records obtained by the North Cook News show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Citizens to Elect Caroline Kennedy Elkins was the only campaign committee in Schaumburg that was delinquent in payment for January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The largest fine that Citizens to Elect Caroline Kennedy Elkins has yet to pay was imposed on Nov. 14, 2014, for a late quarterly report. The amount of this fine alone is $2,200.
