Unpaid fines for Arlington Heights-based campaign committees totaled $12,450 in January 2017

Campaign committees in Arlington Heights collectively owe a total of $12,450 in overdue fees, records obtained by the North Cook News show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that two committees in Arlington Heights were delinquent in payment for January 2017.

The Arlington Heights-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Friends for Court Harris, which owes a total of $6,700.

The largest fine that Friends for Court Harris has yet to pay was imposed on Sept. 2, 2016, for a late quarterly report. The amount of this fine alone is $3,300.

The following table lists all campaign committees in Arlington Heights owing unpaid fines in January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections:
