Request the Board approve an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION, PRIVATE SALE, OR TRANSFER OF SURPLUS PERSONAL
PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD.” This Ordinance is being
presented for first reading and posting.
This Ordinance approves declaring various items surplus and authorizing the disposal of these
items by private sale, auction, trade-in, donation or to otherwise discard them at the least cost
to the Village.

A-17-030 Ordinance – Approval of Amendment to the 2016 Operating and Capital Improvements Budget
Request the Board approve an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 2016-24 TO PROVIDE FOR YEAR END ADJUSTMENTS OF THE 2016
OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET.” This Ordinance is being presented
for first reading and posting.
This Ordinance authorizes year-end budget adjustments to allow for additional expenditures
incurred in 2016 that were not anticipated when the original budget document was prepared.

Revenue (IDOR)
Request the Board approve a Resolution entitled “A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND
AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT TO EXECUTE AND THE VILLAGE CLERK TO
ATTEST ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD TO A CERTAIN RECIPROCAL
AGREEMENT ON EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF
STREAMWOOD AND THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE.”
This Resolution approves a Reciprocal Agreement between the Village and the Illinois
Department of Revenue for the exchange of information.
PUBLIC WORKS - Trustee Thon/Trustee Carlson
A-17-032 Motion – Waive Competitive Bidding / Lawn Mowing and Maintenance
Request the Board approve a motion to waive competitive bidding for lawn mowing and
grounds maintenance services for certain Village-owned and maintained properties.
A-17-033 Resolution – Approval of Proposal / Lawn Mowing and Maintenance
Request the Board approve a Resolution entitled “A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOW
PROPOSAL AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF
THE VILLAGE AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE CLERK TO ATTEST TO A CERTAIN
CONTRACT WITH CLAUSS BROTHERS, INC.
This Resolution approves a two-year contract with an option for a third year for grounds
maintenance of Village owned property including medians, shoulders, special service areas
and the three Fire Stations, and vacant property with Clauss Brothers Inc., 12N330 Switzer
Road, Elgin, Illinois, at a cost of $39,368.00 per year and $40.00 per cut for vacant property,
based on the number of cuts actually made for an estimated total cost of $56,168.00.
A-17-034 Resolution – Approval of Bid / 2017 Various Concrete Reconstruction (VCR) Projects
Request the Board approve a Resolution entitled “A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOW
BID AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE
VILLAGE AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE CLERK TO ATTEST TO A CERTAIN
CONTRACT WITH SUBURBAN CONCRETE, INC.”
This Resolution accepts the low bid and authorizes the execution of a contract with Suburban
Concrete Inc., 21227 W. Commercial Drive, Mundelein, Illinois for the removal and
reconstruction of certain curbs, driveway aprons and sidewalks included in the 2017 street
program for an estimated cost of $468,187.00.

A-17-035 Resolution – Approval of Bid / Hazelnut Water Tank Maintenance
Request the Board approve a Resolution entitled “A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOW
BID AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE
VILLAGE AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE CLERK TO ATTEST TO A CERTAIN
CONTRACT WITH L.C. UNITED PAINTING CO., INC.”
This Resolution accepts the low bid and authorizes the execution of a contract with L.C. United
Painting Co. Inc., 3525 Barbara Drive, Sterling Heights, Michigan, 48310 for the exterior
repaint with containment, a wet interior repaint, a dry interior repaint and other minor repairs
and safety upgrades to the water tower located at 100 Hazelnut Drive for an estimated cost of
$519,000.00.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT – Trustee Cecille/Trustee Baumer
A-17-036 Ordinance – Opting Out of Cook County Ordinances
Request the Board approve an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3,
ENTITLED “BUSINESS REGULATIONS,” OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD, ILLINOIS.” This Ordinance is being presented for first
reading and posting.
This Ordinance approves opting out of certain Cook County ordinances regarding earned sick
leave and minimum wages.
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS - Trustee Carlson
A-17-037 Resolution – Review of Closed Session Minutes
Request the Board approve a Resolution entitled: “A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE
REVIEW OF CLOSED SESSION MINUTES.”
This Resolution approves the Village Clerk to keep certain closed session minutes confidential.
I-17-001 Arbor Day Foundation Recognition – Tree City USA
The Arbor Day Foundation once again has recognized the Village of Streamwood as a 2016
Tree City USA, in honor of its commitment to effective urban forest management. Streamwood
achieved Tree City USA recognition by meeting the program’s four requirements: a tree board
or department, a tree-care ordinance, an annual community forestry budget of at least $2 per
capita, and an Arbor Day observance and proclamation. This is the 24
th consecutive year of
Streamwood’s recognition as a Tree City.
