Youth gymnastics will start in early November in Hanover Park's Park District, according to hpparks.org.
The sessions will be held at three levels. Gym I for ages 6-11 will focus on strength, balance and coordination development and other basic skills. Gym II, for ages 6-13, is for students ready for more challenging skills, such as handstands and round-offs. Gym III, for ages 6-16, will feature advanced skills such as handsprings and walkovers. Participants interested in Gym III will need an instructor's approval to register for this level.
Gym I classes will take place from 4-5 p.m. Tuesdays Nov. 8-Dec. 13 and cost $48 for residents and $63 for nonresidents. Gym II classes are from 5-6 p.m. Tuesdays from Nov. 8-Dec. 13 and cost $48 and $63. Gym III will be from 4:30-6 p.m. Mondays Nov. 7-Dec. 12 and cost $59 and $74. Classes take place at Gymkhana, 6622 Barrington Road.
