Wilmette trustees gather for regular board meeting

The Village of Wilmette board of trustees met at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23.

The Willamette Village Board is the legislative and policy-making body of the village, and includes the village president and six trustees. The president and trustees are elected at-large and serve staggered four-year terms. Members meet at 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Ave.

AGENDA (The matters listed for consideration on the Consent Agenda are items of routine business, land use items coming to the Village Board with a positive recommendation from a hearing body, and other items that appear to have the unanimous support of the Board of Trustees. The Village President will inquire if any member of the Board or member of the public wishes to discuss any item on the Consent Agenda. If such a request is made, the matter will be removed from the Consent Agenda and will be taken up by the Village Board in the order shown. Thereafter, the Village President will request a motion and second for passage of all remaining items listed. The resulting roll call vote on the Consent Agenda will be applicable to each remaining agenda item. Any item removed from the Consent Agenda is subject to a five-minute time limit). Any agenda item beginning with a 3 is on the Consent Agenda.

3.4 Approval of Temporary Use Permit #2016-TU-15 to locate a construction trailer at 1020 Michigan Avenue from September 1, 2016 through February 2018.

3.5 Approval of Temporary Use Permit #2016-TU-16 to locate a construction trailer at 500 Sheridan Road from August 1, 2016 through November 2018.

3.6 Approval of Temporary Use Permit #2016-TU-20 to permit two food trucks in conjunction with a triathlon at Gillson Park on Sunday, September 18, 2016.

3.7 Adoption of Ordinance #2016-O-42 regarding a revised request for a 162.5

square foot (2.6%) total floor area variation and a 5.0’ side yard air conditioner setback variation to permit the construction of a two-story addition at 1530 Greenwood Avenue in accordance with the plans as amended.

3.8 Adoption of Ordinance #2016-O-43 regarding the revised request for a 6.08’

front yard setback variation, a 2.12’ side yard setback variation, a 1.62’ combined side yard setback variation, a 39.62 square foot (1.51%) front yard impervious surface coverage variation, and a variation to permit parking spaces in a required front yard to permit the construction of one- story additions, a front porch and a front yard parking space at 3219 Illinois Road in accordance with the plans as revised.

3.9 Adoption of Ordinance #2016-O-39 regarding a request for a modification of a special use (Primary Educational Facility), a special use to allow two accessory structures exceeding 200 square feet in area, a variation to expand a legal non-conforming structure, a 1,449.48 square foot (17.47%) front yard impervious surface coverage variation, a 2,422.49 square foot (48.1%) side yard adjoining a street impervious surface coverage variation, an 814.24 square foot (5.63%) combined side yard impervious surface coverage variation, an 85.52 square foot (0.39%) rear yard pavement impervious surface coverage variation, an 11.0’ side yard adjoining a street sport court (synthetic turf playfield) setback variation, an 8.83’ interior side yard sport court (synthetic turf playfield) setback variation, a 3.75’ refuse storage area side yard setback variation, a 4’ fence height variation and a 1.5’ fence height variation to permit site improvements. The use shall run with the use at 201 Sheridan Road in accordance with the plans submitted.

3.14 Zoning Board of Appeals Report, Case #2016-Z-30, 327 3rd Street regarding a request for a special use to allow the expansion of an existing townhouse and an 8.58’ accessory structure separation variation to permit the construction of a detached pergola in accordance with the plans submitted. The use shall run with the use; adoption of Ordinance #2016-O- 46.
