Park Ridge O'Hare Airport Commission meets to conduct environmental research

The Park Ridge O'Hare Airport Commission met at 7 p.m. yesterday, July 20.

V. Fly Quiet Night Rotation: Discussion of the recent approval of the plan, including: 

A. ApprovedandputintoeffectonJuly6,2016;

B. The rotation schedule and a survey for residents to provide test program feedback is posted on www.flychicago.com/flyquiettest. While survey leaves much to be desired, residents should be encouraged to fill it out;

C. Recent article in which Air Traffic Controllers raised concerns over plan based on length of runways in use; adds more evidence that Northwest Diagonals should be retained and NOT decommissioned.

VI. Environmental Study/Research:

Discussion of efforts to study/research environmental issues, including reaching out to Wooddale to work cooperatively, update/ideas for outreach to universities or non-profit groups for support and seeking local residents with expertise to come to next OAC meetings to assist/plan
