The Park Ridge Community Health Commission will meet and discuss the final revisions to its mission statement at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 24 in the second floor conference room at City Hall.
The commission will work on finalizing the revised code that describes its mission. After completing the changes, the commission may present the revised mission statement at the Committee of the Whole meeting on Monday, March 28.
The commission will discuss the timeline of activities, events and projects for each of the six focus areas established at the Feb. 25 meeting. The focus areas are Disease Education and Prevention, Emergency Preparedness and Resiliency, Environmental Issues/Environmental Quality Issues, Outreach to Special Populations, Substance Abuse/Mental Health and Wellness/Safety.
After discussing the addition of a commissioner, the commission will hear reports from city staff, school administrators and other community organizations. Citizens who wish to comment on non-agenda items will also be heard.
Park Ridge City Hall is at 505 Butler Place.
The next meeting of the commission is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 28. The commission meets on the fourth Thursday of each month.
