The Park Ridge Appearance Commission plans to meet and review seven cases at 7 p.m. today.

The Park Ridge Appearance Commission will meet and review seven appearance applications for approval at 7 p.m. today, March 23.

The commission will meet in the second floor conference room at City Hall, 505 Butler Place.

Each case will be reviewed separately to ensure that the appearance of the building or project meets community standards. The commission will review the application, documentation and photographs. The commissioners may also question the applicant, architect or contractor regarding details of the project. The commission's decisions -- whether to ask for more documentation or changes, denial or approval -- are final. It does not go before the city council for review.

During the meeting, the commission will review and discuss the single-family alteration at 206 N. Home Ave.; the single-family residence applications at 339 S. Crescent Ave., 827 S. Crescent Ave., 2151 De Cook Ave., 512 S. Knight Ave. and 539 Redfield Court; and the mixed-use development at 501 Busse Highway.

Following the appearance review cases, the commission will hear other business and comments from the public regarding non-appearance review cases. The next meeting of the commission is scheduled for April 27.
