The official zoning map for the Village of Mount Prospect must be approved and published each year before March 31.

The village board approved the 2016 Official Zoning Map on March 1 at its regular meeting.

The Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-13-19 mandate that each municipality publish an official map showing classifications, divisions, restrictions, regulations and zoning for the previous year. The detailed map shows all the zoning districts for the village, from commercial to residential to unincorporated Cook County.

Village staff prepared the 2016 map and incorporated all changes made in the village's zoning over the previous calendar year. The board reviewed and discussed the map at its Feb. 16 meeting and then placed it on the March 1 Consent Agenda for approval.
