Minor changes to The Whitley will be reviewed at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow.
The Wheeling Plan Commission will review changes to The Whitley, part of Wheeling Assisted Living and Memory Support Community, at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, March 10.
The commission will meet in the board room of Village Hall, located at 2 Community Blvd. The meeting will be available as a live stream and on cable channels 17 and 99.
The applicant for The Whitley, Steve Meacher of The LaSalle Group, has requested approval to move the generator to the east side of the property, change the maintenance garage size, modify the exterior window design and add louvers to the exterior. The louvers are necessary with the change in the HVAC unit. The HVAC plan has been revised from a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) to a Vertical Terminal Air Conditioning (VTAC) unit, which would be a reliable and cost-effective system for this building.
The commission will review photos of the site, the cover letter, proposed and approved site plans and elevations, and exterior materials sheets. After discussing the changes, the commission may take action on the item.
The original plans for The Whitley were approved on Dec. 8, 2014. The site is still in development; no structures have been built.
