Elgin Planning and Zoning Commission to hear lot, subdivision petitions at meeting

The City of Elgin Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. today, March 7, in the City Council Chambers, located on the second floor of North Tower, at 150 Dexter Court.

The commission will consider the final plat for 200 Airport Road and three petitions.

In addition, the final plat for the subdivision of Lot 2 of the Fox River Business Center South at 200 Airport Road is under consideration by the commission.

After administering the oath to attendees who wish to testify, the commission will hear petitions. The car wash at 297 S. McLean Blvd. will be removed from the table, leaving three petitions for consideration.

A conditional use permit for 13 Douglas Ave. will be heard and considered. The petitioner is requesting the establishment of various assembly uses at the property.

The properties at 2530 Mason Road and 709 Sports Way are under consideration for text amendments and planned development as map amendments. Mason Road will also require annexation. Both applicants are requesting special regulations for LED graphics for the properties.

After hearing other business and a summary of pending development applications, the commission will hear public comments.
