A public hearing on a health and fitness center at 110 N. Northwest Highway will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
The City of Park Ridge invites interested residents to attend the public hearing at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
The commission meets in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 505 Butler Place.
The commission will hold the public hearing for Case No. SU-16-05. The applicant, Kolbrook Design, has applied for a special use permit for a Pure Barre health and fitness center, to be located at 110 N. Northwest Highway. This is in the B-4 Uptown Commercial Sub-District. The tenant space is 1,859 square feet.
The commission previously approved another health and fitness center in the Shops of Uptown complex in 2014. All special uses in the Shops of Uptown must be approved by the Park Ridge City Council. An agreement to offset retail sales tax is necessary for approval for special use, as the Uptown Development Agreement specifies that the complex is for retail use.
After the public hearing, the commission will hear the council liaison report and other items presented for discussion. After asking for citizen input on non-agenda items, the meeting will be adjourned.
