The Elgin Emergency Telephone System Board will receive a status report on the Fund 220, E9-1-1 telephone system's budget activity at its meeting at 3:30 p.m. today in the Chief's Conference Room, third floor, of the Elgin Police Department, 151 Douglas Ave.

The fiscal 2016 budget included revenues of $2.5 million and expenditures of $2.5 million for the Emergency Telephone, Fund 220, balancing the budget.

The board also will review the 2016 Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) maintenance agreement with New World Systems. The amount of the agreement is for no more than $86,093. CAD software enables automatic address verification using GPS locations in real time and manages dispatching activities for the EMS, Fire and Police Departments. It also provides information on outstanding warrants, hazards and other information to dispatchers, police and firefighter personnel.
