Tonight's City Council meeting includes the public hearing on the S. Randall Road car wash application.

The public hearing on the S. Randall Road automatic car wash will be held at the Elgin City Council meeting at 7 p.m. tonight, Feb. 10., in the City Council Chambers.

The applicant, Richport Property LLC, has requested amendments to the annexation agreement and Ordinance G32-10, as well as the development plan approval. The automatic car wash and a retail building will be located at 1110-1190 S. Randall Road, within the Walmart and Sam's Club subdivision.

After the public hearing, the council will consider the application for approval. It will also consider the application of Interstate Partners LLC regarding 2500-2535 Watermark Terrace. The applicant is seeking approval for a luxury residential apartment complex, which requires a map amendment and planned development approval.

Other items up for consideration are the intergovernmental agreement regarding the I-90 Route 25 improvements, an agreement with Snap Consulting & Associates LLC, a conditional use permit at 25 S. Grove Ave., Suite 305, and capital improvement bonds for $25 million. Bids for the Eagle Heights South street rehabilitation and water main replacement will be reviewed and considered, as well. The council will also review the job order contract for the Hemmens Auditorium lights.

The next Committee of the Whole meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Feb. 24. The City Council will meet at 7 p.m. on the same day. Both meetings will be held in the City Council Chambers.
