Zoning variations and special use permits were on the agenda for the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting this week.

Zoning variations and special use permits were on the agenda for the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting this week.

Michigan Shores Club's request for special use for a club was among the items reviewed by the Village of Wilmette Zoning Board of Appeals on Feb. 3.

The applicant requested a 25,010.21-square-foot floor area variation and side yard setback variations to allow for a new canopy on the legal non-conforming structure at 911 Michigan Ave. The permits would also allow fire pits on a new patio.

The board reviewed and discussed zoning variations at 33 Crescent Place that would allow the applicant, James Gram, to build a new detached two-car garage. The construction would require variations for a 110.24-square-foot impervious surface coverage as well as for a 23.79-square-foot total impervious surface coverage in the rear yard.

The board also heard and discussed Dr. Alia Ezziddin's request for a special use permit for a small dental office at 711 11th St.

After reviewing the applications, the board approved the Dec. 16 meeting minutes. Public comments were requested before adjourning. The next regularly scheduled Zoning Board of Appeals meeting is at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 17.
