Firefighter and paramedic testing and the police lieutenant promotional process are on the agenda for tonight's meeting.

Before reviewing and discussing old business at tonight's meeting of the Buffalo Grove Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, the board will hear questions and comments from the audience.

Those who wish to address the board are requested to limit their comments to 10 minutes. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. today, Feb. 1, at Village Hall, which is located at 50 Raupp Blvd.

The board will review and discuss the 2016 firefighter and paramedic testing process. After discussion, it may take action on the item. The board will also discuss and possibly take action on the 2016 police lieutenant promotional process. Included under old business, the commissioners will discuss the meeting calendar for 2016.

If necessary, the board will discuss the police officer and firefighter candidates before retiring to an executive session. The candidates and other personnel matters will be discussed in the closed session. Following the executive session, the commissioners will return to the open meeting and take any necessary actions on the items.

While the board will try to address all items on the agenda by 10:30 p.m., it may defer some items to the next meeting if the discussion runs long.
