The Administration Committee of Wilmette, Illinois will meet on Dec. 16 to discuss the power purchasing program and IT department strategic plan.
The meeting will take place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the first floor Village Board Conference Room in the Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Ave. The committee members are Chair Julie Wolf and Trustees Cameron Krueger and Senta Plunkett.
After inviting public comment, the committee will review and approve the March 5 meeting minutes.
First on the agenda is the discussion of the Wilmette power purchasing program. The program provides reduced electricity rates for residents and small businesses in the Village. Through the electric supplier MC Squared Energy Services, the Village and other members of the Lakeshore Power Alliance were able to obtain rates approximately 4 percent lower than ComEd's rates. Under the contract that runs from June 1 to May 31, the basic rate is 6.88 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh). The rate is 7.02 cents per kWh under the Individual Choice Green Power Program.
The committee will also hear a presentation on the Information Technology (IT) department strategic Plan. After hearing and discussing any new business, the meeting will be adjourned.
