The Wilmette Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. to approve ordinances for tax levies.
The board will approve items on the consent agenda as a group, with one vote. Included on the consent agenda are the Nov. 24 regular meeting minutes; Oct. 21 Zoning Board of Appeals minutes; November disbursement report; October monthly financial reports; authorization to transfer funds from the Water Fund to the General Fund; dates for the 2016 village board regular meetings; a vacancy on the Housing Commission; increasing Class A liquor licenses to issue one to Taco Lago at 1515 Sheridan Road; and reducing Class H and Class I liquor licenses in regard to Artisanal Wilmette and Akai Hana Market.
The ordinances for the tax levies are 2015-O-73, 2015-O-74, 2015-O-75, 2015-O-76, 2015-O-77 and 2015-O-78, which also will be approved under the consent agenda.
Approval for contracts under the consent agenda include the water-plant pipe-painting project with Tecorp, Inc., and the contract renewal with Advanced Telecommunications of Illinois, Inc.
The Government Finance Officer Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence will be presented to the village for its 2014 comprehensive annual financial report.
The Finance Standing Committee report will be presented to the board, including the report on the public hearing on the 2015 tax levy and the adoption of the tax-levy ordinance.
