Park Ridge City Council meeting tonight

The Park Ridge City Council will meet today at 7 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers, 505 Butler Place.

The council will approve the Nov. 16 council meeting minutes and the Nov. 23 Committee of the Whole meeting minutes.

Under the Consent Agenda, the council will approve all items with one vote. City officials' reports will follow, beginning with the mayor's report. The Police Department Bicycle Safety Color Contest winners will be recognized, then resolutions honoring Dean Whitford, of the Park Ridge Human Needs Task Force, and Brian Wiebe, retiring superintendent of Public Works, will be read. Also under the Mayor's report, Melissa Hulting, Andrea Klein, Tim Milburn, Patrick Collins and Terri Schmidt will be appointed to the Community Health Commission, and Karen Grunschel and Eileen Manning will be reappointed to the commission.

The city manager's report will update the council on 400 Talcot vs. the City of Park Ridge. Before the remaining reports, the public may address the council on non-agenda items.

Under Boards, Commissions and Committees, several items are on the agenda for approval, including the final reading for text amendments to Sections 7.3, 11.4, 14.6 and 16.3 in zoning case no. TA-15-02; waiving two readings establishing available liquor licenses and approving the liquor license ordinance; the amendment of the intergovernmental agreement regarding the O'Hare Noise Compatibility Commission; three parking-restrictions ordinances; FY 2016 warrants; a FY 2016 budget amendment regarding red-light fine revenue and several purchase orders.

The reports also include first readings for the historic landmark designation for 122 N. Delphia Ave., modifying Section 2-5-2 property disclosure statements, an ordinance regarding nepotism in the city, the 2015 property tax levy and the 2015 property tax abatement.

Following new business announcements and discussions, the meeting will be adjourned.
